Big agency thinking, small agency efficiencies

Welcome to the BUZZ, with each edition of our e-news, you'll get an insight into what we think matters when it comes to making the business of 'small business' tick. We'll select our favourite buzz bits to share with you, if for no other reason than to give you a break from the mundane day-to-day stuff.

Summer 2012

We write this as 2011 comes to a close for Thebughouse. It has certainly been an eventful year being our 10th birthday milestone and having the opportunity to travel to Uganda with Australia for UNHCR witnessing first hand the challenges we only saw as images up until now.

Subaru Cycling and Triathlon

While Uganda remains the experience that stands out most in our mind, we have also had the oppotunity to work with exciting new clients like Subaru providing agency support for their new sporting partnerships with Australia's biggest triathlon and multisport festivals (USM Events), Cycling Australia, the Amy Gillett Foundation, AustCycle and GreenEDGE cycling team. Any cycling enthusiasts will know you couldn't get a better gig than this one! So thank you Subaru for having the confidence in the BUGS to help leverage and make these partnerships successful ones over the ensuing years.

Fresh off the Press

We have been extremely fortunate to work with some exciting start up companies destined to achieve great things in the future. If passion is a determining factor for success, watch out. CleanEats, Beyond Study, Data Squirrels and Botanical Statements are just some of the amazing logos and brand identities the talented BUGS have created with the owners of the businesses.

Welcomes and Farewells

For those who have known the BUGS over the years, we have always been fortunate to have wonderful staff join our team, They have not only been top notch designers but also incredibly loyal and really nice people. We are very proud to say that anytime staff have left us it is to move on to the 'next phase' of their lives. It is with a great sense of gratitude and happiness that we farewelled our full time senior designer of 4 years Sonja Raahuage late last year as she sets sail for Greece to get married in 2012. Sonja will tie the knot with her long term partner and thereafter pursue a business together in Wagga where they will be surrounded by family.

Where we waved goodbye with one hand, we open up the other to welcome a new BUG into the hive. Shanti Sanggaran is undeniably one of the most infectious personalities we have had the pleasure of knowing in our 11 years. With a long list of credentials and experience in the design industry and a great cup cake maker, what more could we ask for?
